Privacy policy

In short: PalmSee reads your palm on your phone. Your photos, readings, birth date and the names you enter stay on your device. A reading only leaves your device if you tap Share yourself. We have no accounts, no ads and no tracking across other apps. Besides what is needed to process subscriptions and deliver app updates, the app sends anonymous usage statistics and crash reports so we can fix problems and improve it.

Information that stays on your device

• Palm photos. Photos you take or choose are analysed by a model that runs entirely on your phone. They are stored only inside the app on your device, and PalmSee never uploads them anywhere. A photo only leaves your device if you choose to share a reading that includes it (see Sharing).
• Your details. Your dominant hand, birth date and the topics you choose are stored on your device and used to personalise your reading. Your birth date never leaves your device; usage statistics may note which hand you scanned and which topics you picked (see below).
• Readings. Palm readings (including the comparison of both your hands), weekly readings, tarot readings and compatibility results are generated on your device and stored there.
• Compatibility. If you scan another person’s palm, their photo and the name you enter are stored only on your device. Please ask for their permission first.
• Sharing. When you tap Share, PalmSee makes an image of that reading on your device and passes it to the app you choose; nothing is sent to us. Images of your palm readings include your palm photo with its traced lines, so only share them if you are happy for others to see your palm. Compatibility images show the names and match score, never the other person’s photo.

We do not have a server that receives your photos, readings, birth date or the names you enter, so we cannot see, access or share them.

Subscriptions

Purchases are processed by Apple (through your Apple ID) on iPhone, or by Google (through your Google Play account) on Android. We never see your payment details. To manage subscriptions, we use RevenueCat, which receives an anonymous app user identifier, your purchase and subscription history, and basic device and app information (such as operating system version, app version and store country). This is used only to give you access to what you have paid for and to restore purchases.

App updates

PalmSee downloads app updates from Expo’s update service. Like any download, this involves standard technical information such as your IP address, device type and app version. It does not include your photos or readings.

Usage statistics and crash reports

PalmSee uses PostHog (servers in the United States) to understand how the app is used and to find and fix problems. It receives:

• A random identifier created when you first open the app. It is not linked to your name, email, Apple ID or Google account, and deleting the app resets it.
• How you use the app: which screens you open and which features you use, for example scanning a palm, revealing the daily tarot card, viewing the subscription options, or starting, cancelling or completing a purchase. Some events include simple details such as the plan you chose, which hand you scanned, the reading topics you picked, the kind of relationship chosen for a compatibility reading, and whether (not what) you entered a birth date or a tarot question.
• Device and app information, such as device model, operating system version and app version.
• Crash reports: technical details of errors and crashes.

It never receives your photos, readings, birth date, the names you enter or the questions you ask the tarot cards. PostHog sees your IP address when the app connects, but we have set it to discard the address rather than store it or use it to estimate your location. We use this information only to run and improve PalmSee, never for advertising, and we don’t combine it with data from other companies.

What we don’t do

• We don’t require an account or collect your name, email or contacts.
• We don’t show ads, use advertising identifiers or track you across other apps and websites, so PalmSee never asks for tracking permission.
• We don’t sell or share personal information.

Camera and photos

PalmSee asks for camera access so you can photograph your palm, and photo library access if you choose an existing photo. You can change these permissions at any time in your device’s Settings.

Deleting your data

Deleting the app removes all photos, readings and details stored by PalmSee on your device, and resets the random identifier used for usage statistics. Subscriptions are managed and cancelled in your Apple ID settings on iPhone, or in the Play Store on Android. To ask us to delete purchase records or usage statistics linked to your anonymous identifiers, contact us at the address below.

Children

PalmSee is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Palm, weekly, tarot and compatibility readings are for entertainment and self-reflection. They are not medical, financial, legal or professional advice.
